Klaus K Studio K

“Klaus K” is a design hotel in Helsinki influenced by national epic Kalevala. The night club of the hotel was renovated to be a conference room called “Studio K”. There were a will to be able to create various atmospheres and tones from energy boosting white to a more atmospheric dinner feeling. In the ceiling of the space there is luminaires plated by a stretch fabric to create an illusion of large skylight windows providing daylight in to the space. The inner walls encircling the room are perforated to remind of a forest landscape. The luminaires placed to the space in between inner and outer walls enables a quick change of the atmosphere and character of the room.
